The Problem:

Biden was inaugurated on January 20th. He campaigned on the promise that he would end the death penalty at the federal level. He's been in office for over a week; passing dozens of executive orders. But no word on the death penalty.

The president of the United States is accountable to the people. Use this template to write a letter to the white house demanding that Joe Biden use his executive power to stop all federal death sentences and permanently end the death penalty at the federal level.

President Biden,

You promised us when you campaigned for president that you would do everything in your power to end the death penalty at the federal level. On your campaign website you said you would "work to pass legislation to eliminate the death penalty at the federal level, and incentivize states to follow the federal government's example. You have been in office for over a week. You have passed dozens of executive orders, including the recent banning of federal contracts with private prisons. It is in your power to stop the future executions of all current individuals on federal death row. I am urging you to do so. Keep your promises. Stop letting the federal government kill people.
